DODO
Bronze fonte à la cire perdue 71 x 50 x 63 cm
” Having worked for a long time on the connections which exist between the man and the animal, I was intrigued by the myths and the legends attached to a bird disappeared since a long time: the dodo. We arrange indeed only thin fragments of knowledge on this animal, thanks to some narratives and engravings, sometimes contradictory. His story continues however to arouse interest and questionings, so much and so that it became a symbol. I was touched by the visible clumsiness of a wasted wings bird, having lost the capacity to fly, but possessing nevertheless a power and a strength which make him a kind of link between the sky and the earth “
